Add Grok to Outlook
Add Grok to Outlook
The Grok add-in sits beside your mailbox. It summarizes long threads, drafts replies in your voice, and can sweep a backlog. Nothing sends until you hit send. xAI ships it to paid X and SuperGrok accounts.
Install
- Open Microsoft Outlook (Microsoft 365).
- Add Grok from the Microsoft Marketplace.
- Sign in with the SuperGrok or paid X account that holds the subscription.
- Open a thread and ask what happened: decisions, owners, what is still waiting on you.
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint have matching add-ins from the same Marketplace listing family. Outlook is the one that requires the paid X or SuperGrok login.
What to ask
- Summarize this thread and list who owns each open item.
- Draft a reply from these notes. Keep my tone.
- Read the attachment and tell me what changed.
- Sweep recent mail: what needs a reply, what can archive.
You can ask it to tighten a subject line, change recipients, or warm the tone. The draft stays in Outlook until you send it.
Pitfalls
- The add-in lives inside Outlook. The Outlook Mail connector on grok.com/connectors is a different install: that one lets grok.com chat search the mailbox.
- Work tenants can block Marketplace add-ins. If Grok never appears, that is an admin policy.
- The add-in can search the web and X and read attachments. Do not point it at a thread you would not paste into grok.com.
