Cancel or refund a SuperGrok subscription
Cancel or refund a SuperGrok subscription
Where you bought SuperGrok decides who cancels it and who handles a refund.
Cancel on the web
- Sign in at grok.com with the same account that holds the subscription.
- Open grok.com/?_s=billing or go to Settings → Billing.
- Use Manage Subscription to change plan, update payment, or cancel.
If Manage Subscription never opens, an ad-blocker or extension is usually blocking the portal. Try an incognito window or a different browser. If it still fails, contact support and ask them to escalate cancellation to billing.
Cancel on iOS or Android
- Apple App Store: cancel in Apple's subscription settings. Apple also owns App Store refunds.
- Google Play: cancel in Google Play. Refunds for Play purchases go through xAI's refund form, not Google.
X Premium and X Premium+ billing lives on X. Submit those refunds through X Help, not through xAI.
Request a refund
Refunds depend on the store that charged you:
- Web (grok.com) or Google Play: use the xAI Refund Request form while signed in with the subscription account. Approved refunds usually hit the original payment method in 5–10 business days.
- Apple App Store: request the refund through Apple.
Consumer terms say paid subscription charges are non-refundable except where the law requires it. Treat refunds as review decisions, not automatic.
Common mix-ups
- A web SuperGrok purchase will not show in the iOS or Android app if you signed in with a different login. Use the same Apple, Google, or X identity everywhere before assuming a double charge.
- A large unexpected invoice is often a SuperGrok Heavy yearly charge, not API usage. Check the purchase date and subscription history, then send support the invoice number.
- API prepaid credits are non-refundable except where local law requires a refund.
