Connect Outlook Mail so Grok can search it

Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar are two OAuth rows. Connect Mail when you want grok.com chat to search, read, draft, and send from that mailbox. Calendar is a second sign-in.

Connect Mail

1. Go to grok.com/connectors.
2. Click New Connector and choose Outlook.
3. Sign in with your Microsoft work or school account.
4. Read the scopes (Mail.ReadWrite, Mail.Send, User.Read, offline_access) and accept.

Back in chat, ask the way you would search Outlook: a sender, a subject, a date range, an attachment.

Connect Calendar

1. Stay on grok.com/connectors.
2. Click New Connector and choose Outlook Calendar.
3. Sign in and accept Calendars.ReadWrite.

Then you can search events, check free/busy, create or update a meeting, or RSVP from chat.

Disconnect

1. Open grok.com/connectors.
2. Find Outlook or Outlook Calendar and click Disconnect.
3. Or revoke the app at myapps.microsoft.com.

xAI's connector docs say they do not train on this mail or calendar data, and that Grok reads it at ask time.

Pitfalls

• Mail and Calendar are two grants. Connecting one does not sign the other in.
• Some orgs need an Azure AD admin to consent the xAI Grok app under Enterprise applications. A "need admin approval" error is that gate.
• On Grok Business and Enterprise, a team admin has to provision the connector in console.x.ai before members can connect it.
• Install the Outlook add-in when you want Grok inside Outlook. Use this connector when you want grok.com chat to search the mailbox.
