Enable SuperGrok On-Demand without buying Cursor Pro

Weekly Grok Bot usage from a linked SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+ grant can hit 100%. Extra usage after that is On-Demand on the same Cursor account. What “Pro required” usually means

A SuperGrok (or X Premium+) link is a usage grant on a Cursor account. It does not create a paid Cursor plan. Cursor Free plus an active SuperGrok link is a supported shape for Grok Bot weekly usage and for On-Demand after that week is gone.

The spending UI asks for a paid Cursor plan most often when the account you are looking at does not show an active SuperGrok (or X Premium+) link — for example a free-trial credit account, or a different email than the one Grok Bot is signed into.

Pro and SuperGrok pools also do not stack. Paying for Pro on top of SuperGrok does not enlarge the Bot weekly meter.

Enable On-Demand on the linked account

1. Open Grok Bot → Settings → plan / usage. Confirm the signed-in email and that the plan line shows SuperGrok (or Plus / Heavy / X Premium+), not only a trial credit.
2. If SuperGrok is missing, link it with Get Access with Grok while signed into the Cursor account you intend to keep. The link is permanent — use the right account first. Steps live under Link SuperGrok for Grok Bot.
3. On that same account, open cursor.com/dashboard/spending, find On-Demand Usage, enable it, and add a card if asked. Set a Monthly Limit you can live with.
4. Return to Grok Bot and send a message after weekly hits 100%. Extra turns should bill On-Demand instead of stopping cold.

SuperGrok Lite does not include Grok Bot. Upgrade to SuperGrok, Plus, or Heavy, then link again.

Pitfalls

• Buying Cursor Pro “just for more Bot” — staff said that does not add Bot usage and is the wrong spend.
