Pin a Grok Bot in the sidebar

Pin active Bots to the top of the sidebar so the roles you open every day stay one click away. Pair pins with Sidebar Sections when you group Bots by project, client, or business; sections sync between desktop and iOS. Official guide: Work with Grok Bot → Organize your roster.

Pin the Bots you open daily

1. Open the sidebar roster.
2. Find the Bot you want at the top of the list.
3. Use the pin control on that Bot (Bot actions or the roster row, depending on your build).
4. Confirm the Bot moves into the pinned area at the top of the sidebar.
5. Repeat for the other daily owners. Keep the pinned set small so the top of the list stays scannable.

Unpin a Bot the same way when the role cools off. Pinning does not change the Bot's job, routines, or computer access; it only changes roster order.

Group with Sidebar Sections

Use Sidebar Sections to group Bots by project, client, or business after the pinned set is settled. Sections sync between desktop and iOS, so a group you build on one device appears on the other when you are signed into the same Cursor account. Put long-lived project owners in a section, and keep only the current day's owners pinned above.

When hide is better than unpin

Hide from sidebar removes a Bot from the main list without deleting its work or pausing its routines. Restore it from Show hidden chats. Use hide for seasonal or paused roles. Use unpin when the Bot should stay visible in its section but no longer needs the top slot.

Pitfalls

• Pinning every Bot — a long pinned stack defeats the point; pin the daily set only.
• Confusing pin with hide — unpin leaves the Bot in the list; hide removes it from the main roster until you restore it.
• Expecting pin to pause routines — schedules keep firing whether the Bot is pinned or not.
• Building sections on one device and assuming they are local-only — sections sync across desktop and iOS on the same account.
