Publish a grok.me app from a Grok chat
Grok Build on grok.com, iOS, and Android builds a working app, game, website, or dashboard in the chat. As of the Aug 19, 2026 post, that path is on every plan.
Build it
- Open Grok on the web, iOS, or Android.
- Sign in if Grok asks.
- Describe one product: what it does, who uses it, and one first screen. Official example: a 3D forest driver with no missions and no timers.
- Wait for the working preview in the chat. Change one thing (layout, copy, a control) and send that change.
Publish it
- Open the publish sheet on the finished app.
- Confirm the
grok.meaddress Grok minted. - Set access: only you, anyone with the link, or the open internet.
- Check the cover. Regenerate it, upload one, or ask Grok to redesign it in the same chat.
- Publish. Paste the link where you want it. On X, the card can render inline, with a play control on games.
After it is live
- Turn on the xAI APIs for that app when the app itself should call Grok for chat, images, or voice. Access is per app. You can revoke it.
- Export to GitHub if you want the project in an editor or in the Grok Build terminal CLI.
- Remix lets someone else fork a published app. Custom domains point a domain you already own at the app. Secrets store third-party keys outside the code.
Pitfalls
- The terminal CLI is a separate install at x.ai/build.
- Do not buy a domain from this page. Point one you already own, or keep the
grok.meaddress.
