Resize an Imagine still to a new ratio
Resize an Imagine still to a new ratio
Imagine Image 2.0 (Quality Mode) can take one still and fill a new frame. Pick the ratio. The model extends or crops the scene to match.
Resize a still you already have
- Open grok.com/imagine and select Quality (v2.0).
- Open the still you want, or generate one first.
- Find Smart resize. Pick the ratio the next surface actually uses.
- Generate. Check the new edges: type, hands, product labels. If a edge invented junk, name that edge in a follow-up edit and run it again.
Ratios Image 2.0 lists: 1:2, 9:16, 2:3, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9, 2:1.
Pick the ratio from the job
- 9:16 for a phone story or a vertical post.
- 1:1 for an avatar or a product tile.
- 16:9 for a hub header or a landscape still.
- 2:1 for a wide banner.
Keep Quality Mode selected. Smart resize from a Speed still runs a new Quality generation.
Pitfalls
- Smart resize fills the new frame. It can add objects that were never in the source. Read the new margins before you ship the file.
- A watermark still lands on the result. There is no setting to remove it.
- Plan and surface decide whether Quality Mode is in the control row. If Smart resize is missing, confirm Quality (v2.0) is selected and the app is current.
