Watch the Grok Bot computer while it works

Open Agent Computer from a conversation to watch clicks, typing, navigation, and current status on the Bot's screen. You can leave the preview while work continues. Closing the app does not stop cloud work. Official guide: Work with Grok Bot → Watch the computer.

Open the preview

  1. Open the Bot conversation that is working.
  2. Choose Agent Computer (wording can say Agent Computer or Grok Bot's Computer in the UI).
  3. Watch the live screen: browser steps, desktop actions, and status.
  4. Leave the preview open or close it; the Bot keeps working on the cloud computer either way.

Each Bot gets its own screen on the shared computer, so several Bots can use browser and desktop tools in parallel. One Bot runs one computer-use task on its screen at a time. Screens are work surfaces, not security boundaries: files, browser sessions, and command-line credentials on the computer stay shared across your roster.

Take over when the Bot stops for you

For passwords, passkeys, two-factor codes, CAPTCHAs, payment or identity checks, and sites that require a human, the Bot hands you the computer. Take control, complete only the blocked step, and tell the Bot to continue. The Bot does not type credentials and does not see your password. The signed-in session persists for future tasks and is shared across your Bots.

Keep work going offline

Work continues while your laptop is closed. Closing the preview, the app, or the phone does not stop a background turn or a routine. Reopen Agent Computer later to check progress, or read the conversation cards for files, questions, and approval requests.

Pitfalls

  • Treating the preview as a kill switch — closing it does not stop the Bot.
  • Leaving a credential on the computer that another of your Bots should not use — every Bot on your account shares that machine.
  • Pasting passwords into ordinary chat when a secure secret card or handoff is available.
  • Expecting one Bot's screen to isolate files or logins from the rest of your roster — isolation is between users, not between your own Bots.
