When the Grok Bot 1Password vault will not sync new items
You will have the smaller-vault steps Cursor staff asked people to try when new 1Password items do not appear in Grok Bot. Those steps are something to try, not a published fix. Checked Oct 5, 2026.
Cursor staff (kevinn) said on the forum on Oct 5, 2026 that the stall is not intended, and that this is an issue they are tracking. New items and edits made on the website can fail to appear, and the Shared with Grok Bot item count can stay stuck.
There is no 1Password page on docs.x.ai. Official docs only cover secure secret requests, and they call those not a general-purpose password manager (approvals, security, and privacy).
How the connection works (staff on the forum)
Cursor staff (Colin) said on the forum on Sep 21, 2026 that Grok Bot uses a one-time 1Password CLI session only to create the Shared with Grok Bot vault and mint a read-only service account for that single vault. You still approve each fill from your device. Other vaults are never visible.
Try a smaller vault
Staff suggested trying a smaller vault. They did not call this a fix.
- Move logins Grok Bot does not need out of Shared with Grok Bot. Staff said a few dozen items is a good size.
- Leave Grok Bot alone for a few hours without refreshing.
- Do one refresh, then ask Grok Bot to check your 1Password status.
If the count is still stuck after that, contact support with the account email, version and platform, what you were doing, a screenshot (not secret values), steps tried, and the request ID. Email is hi@cursor.com.
