Add a Bot from the Grok Bot Marketplace

Install a ready-made Grok Bot from the public Marketplace catalog so you start from a published job, skills, and integrations instead of building the roster entry from a blank chat. Browse listings at x.ai/bot/marketplace. Each card links to a Marketplace Bot page under /bot/marketplace/bots/…, and finishing the install uses the same official add flow documented under Create and manage Bots → Share a Bot: open the preview, choose Add to Grok Bot, and complete it in the Grok Bot app.

What you need

The Grok Bot desktop or mobile app signed in with an eligible Cursor / SuperGrok account, and a Marketplace Bot whose job matches work you actually want on your roster. Neighboring jobs include What a Marketplace Bot copy carries for what lands on your account after the copy, Vet a Marketplace Bot before adding for the review pass before you grant tools, and Share a Grok Bot when you are publishing your own template instead of installing someone else’s. More Grok Bot jobs live on the Grok Bot hub.

Add from the Marketplace

  1. Open x.ai/bot/marketplace and scan Featured, From Grok Bot Team, or a category such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Design, Personal, Product, or Operations.
  2. Open a Bot’s Marketplace page (for example Researchy or SEO & AEO Desk). Read the byline, the short job blurb, and the longer instruction / skill list shown on that page.
  3. Choose the page control that starts install — Marketplace listing pages show Import Bot (or Add on the catalog cards). Official docs name the finish step Add to Grok Bot on the public preview.
  4. Complete the handoff in the Grok Bot app. Matt Palmer’s staff guide Templates for Grok Bot shows the in-app review of context and integrations, then Add Bot to create your independent copy.
  5. After the copy exists, reconnect any plugins that need your own sign-in, set approval boundaries for sending or production changes, and give the Bot one concrete first task before you trust a routine.

Adding a shared Bot creates a copy on your account. Official docs state it does not give you the creator’s computer, logins, or conversation history, and that adding accepts the third-party bot terms shown at that point.

Pitfalls

Skipping the in-app review and approving every connector on first chat hands a third-party recipe your accounts before you have read its skills and routines. Expecting the Marketplace listing alone to finish install fails when the Grok Bot app is not installed — docs require the app to complete Add to Grok Bot. Treating a Marketplace install as a live Team Bot confuses a personal copy with one Bot the whole team chats with; use Set up a Team Bot in Grok Bot when you need the team-shared path.
