Connect OneDrive so Grok can browse and upload files

OneDrive is a built-in connector on Grok Business and Enterprise plans. After OAuth, Grok can browse your personal OneDrive folders, read documents, and upload artifacts it generates (spreadsheets, PDFs, reports) into your OneDrive.

Admin prerequisites

A team admin must add the connector in the cloud console before members can connect:

1. Open console.x.ai, select the team, then Grok Business → Connectors.
2. Choose + Add Connector → OneDrive.
3. Enter the organization’s Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) Tenant ID (domain such as contoso.onmicrosoft.com or a GUID from Azure Active Directory → Overview).
4. Complete admin consent — approve as admin, copy the consent link for IT, or finish consent later. Members cannot authenticate until consent is granted.

Connect as a team member

After admin setup:

1. Go to grok.com/connectors.
2. Find OneDrive and click Connect.
3. Sign in with your Microsoft work or school account.
4. Review the requested permissions and click Accept.

Scopes include Files.ReadWrite, User.Read, and offline_access. Permissions are delegated to your own OneDrive. Grok cannot open other users’ files.

What you can ask

Browse nested folders, open docs you already own, and ask Grok to save generated files into OneDrive. Disconnect

1. Open grok.com/connectors.
2. Find OneDrive and click Disconnect.
3. Or revoke the app at myapps.microsoft.com.

Disconnect deletes indexed data tied to your connection. If an admin removes the connector for the org, organization-wide indexed OneDrive data is deleted. Official docs state xAI does not use your OneDrive data for model training.

Pitfalls

• Consumer SuperGrok alone does not include this connector; Business or Enterprise plus admin provisioning is required.
• OneDrive and SharePoint are separate connectors with separate OAuth.
• An org Microsoft admin can withhold consent; that blocks every member until it is granted.
