Use this when you want Grok Bot on an Android phone. Official Bot docs list Android 9 or later as a supported companion platform alongside iPhone (iOS 18+). Desktop clients cover macOS, Windows, and Linux. Install the Android app from Google Play — package ai.x.grok.bot. Sign in with the same Cursor account you use on desktop or iPhone so Bots and conversations stay synced.

Eligible plans, per the get-started page: "every paid individual Cursor plan or the Cursor Teams plan, or an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy subscription linked to your Cursor account" (docs.x.ai/grok-bot/get-started, checked 2026-09-25). The SuperGrok card on x.ai/pricing lists "Grok Bot access," so the docs say "linked" where pricing says "included" (checked 2026-09-25). Confirm live access after you sign in.

Install and sign in

  1. Open Grok Bot on Google Play and install the app.
  2. Open Grok Bot on the phone.
  3. Sign in with your Cursor account (same flow as desktop / iOS). Finish the browser sign-in, then return to the app.
  4. Open an existing Bot or create one. The same Bots and threads sync across signed-in devices.

Desktop builds remain at x.ai/bot (macOS, Windows, Linux). The iOS companion stays on the App Store and also runs on iPad with iPadOS 18+ (official FAQ). This Android app is Grok Bot, not the consumer Grok chat Android app.

What you can do from the phone

  1. Message Bots on the go. Hand a Bot a task from Android and continue the thread on desktop.
  2. Leave work running after you lock the phone. Work runs on the cloud computer; the Bot checks in when something needs approval.
  3. Follow several Bots in parallel. Keep up with threads and group chats, and approve work as it arrives.

On iPhone and Android, approval controls are Approve once and Deny (desktop also offers Always allow). Cloud work does not stop when the phone sleeps — closing the app or phone does not stop a background turn or routine.

  • Eligible plan required.
  • Companions / Ani-style consumer features are a different product surface and are not this Android Bot app.
  • If sign-in fails, keep the app open while the browser finishes Cursor auth, then return manually — same pattern as desktop get-started.
