Install Grok Bot on Android
Cursor staff (Kevin Neilson, Sep 2, 2026) announced that Grok Bot is available on Android through Google Play. The listing package is ai.x.grok.bot. Sign in with the same Cursor account you use on desktop or iPhone so Bots and conversations stay synced. Bot FAQ plan eligibility still lists SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro+, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Standard or Premium — confirm live access before you assume a tier includes Bot.
Older Bot FAQ text still said Android was not supported at initial launch. Treat the staff announcement and Play listing as current for install.
Install and sign in
- Open Grok Bot on Google Play and install the app.
- Open Grok Bot on the phone.
- Sign in with your Cursor account (same flow as desktop / iOS). Finish the browser sign-in, then return to the app.
- Open an existing Bot or create one. Staff say the same Bots and threads sync across signed-in devices.
Desktop builds remain at x.ai/bot. The iOS companion stays on the App Store. This Android app is Grok Bot, not the consumer Grok chat Android app.
What you can do from the phone
Staff listed these phone surfaces:
- Message Bots on the go. Hand a Bot a task from Android and continue the thread on desktop.
- Leave work running after you lock the phone. Work runs on the cloud computer; the Bot checks in when something needs approval.
- Follow several Bots in parallel. Keep up with threads and group chats, and approve work as it arrives.
Cloud work does not stop when the phone sleeps. That matches the Bot FAQ rule that closing the app or phone does not stop a background turn or routine.
Pitfalls
- Eligible plan required; Grok Bot is in beta per the announcement.
- Companions / Ani-style consumer features are a different product surface and are not this Android Bot app.
- If sign-in fails, keep the app open while the browser finishes Cursor auth, then return manually — same pattern as desktop get-started.
- Report install or reachability bugs to hi@cursor.com or Cursor forum Bug Reports with Grok Bot version, Android version, and the exact error text.
