Use sections when the roster grows past a handful of names and you keep hunting for the right owner. Pin alone is enough when only two or three Bots matter every day.

Why sections help

A flat sidebar mixes every Bot in one scroll. Sections keep related owners together while attention badges, unread marks, and working status still show on each Bot. Opening a conversation marks its current activity as read. You can also mark a conversation read or unread from the Bot menu when you need to clear or restore attention manually.

Create and fill a section

  1. Open the sidebar roster on desktop or iOS.
  2. Create a Sidebar Section and name it for the project, client, or business it covers.
  3. Move the matching Bots into that section.
  4. Repeat for each group you want visible at a glance.
  5. Confirm the same sections appear after you switch devices — sections sync between desktop and iOS.

Pin the daily drivers

  1. Open a Bot you use every day.
  2. Choose Pin from the Bot menu so it stays at the top of the sidebar.
  3. Leave less frequent owners in their sections without a pin.
  4. Unpin when a Bot stops being a daily driver so the top of the list stays short.

Hide without losing the section map

Hide from sidebar removes a Bot from the main list without deleting work or pausing routines. Restore it from Show hidden chats. Hiding does not erase the Bot’s section membership once you bring it back; if the UI asks you to place it again, put it back in the same section. Pitfalls

  • Using sections as a pause switch — moving or hiding a Bot does not stop its routines.
  • Pinning everything — a long pin list recreates the same scan cost sections were meant to fix.
  • Expecting sections to stay local to one device — they sync, so rename carefully if desktop and iOS share the account.
  • Deleting a Bot to clean the sidebar — delete removes profile, conversation, and routines; hide or a section keeps the work available.
