Purchase or cancel Grok Business licenses

Team admins with Billing Read-Write buy and cancel seats from the Grok Business overview on console.x.ai. Official guide: License & User Management.

License types on the overview:

• SuperGrok — standard business access with enhanced quotas
• SuperGrok Heavy — upgraded performance for heavier workloads

Purchase

1. Open the team overview on console.x.ai.
2. Select the license type and quantity.
3. Enter payment details if prompted.
4. Confirm — seats land in the unassigned pool immediately and are ready to provision.

Confirm billing is healthy under Billing Settings before a large buy so renewals do not fail mid-cycle.

Cancel

1. On the same overview, select the license type and quantity to cancel.
2. Submit the cancellation request (Billing Read-Write required).

Cancellations can take a few days. Eligible refunds go to the team billing method. Processed seats leave the pool.

Team admins usually hold both. Without Billing Read-Write, ask an admin — role settings live on the overview.

Invites that never provision usually mean an empty pool. Buy seats or unassign unused ones, then retry.

Pitfalls

• Purchase alone does not grant access — assign a seat (or auto-provision on invite) before the user can use the team workspace.
• Cancel removes seats from the pool after processing; do not cancel seats still assigned to active users without a plan.
