Redirect or stop work in progress in Grok Bot

Redirect the current turn

1. Open the Bot that is mid-task (sidebar status, computer view, or the live transcript).
2. Send a direct message that names the new outcome and what it may change.
3. Watch the transcript: a direct message from you takes priority over background work and can redirect the current turn.

Keep the redirect short and concrete — next allowed action, decision boundary, and what to leave alone.

Stop work immediately

Send a direct Stop now message when work should end immediately.

This does not undo actions the Bot already completed (sends, file writes, installs, or approvals you already granted).

When to use each

Pitfalls

• Stop now ends the turn; it does not roll back completed actions.
• A reaction alone should not carry a safety-critical stop or redirect — write the instruction.
• Group handoffs and multi-Bot loops: name a single owner after the stop so work does not restart in parallel.
