Fix SuperGrok when Apple Hide My Email hid the account
If you subscribed with Apple’s Hide My Email / private relay address, the subscription stays tied to Sign in with Apple. Signing in with the relay string through Google or email often shows no active SuperGrok even though Apple still bills you. Official FAQ: docs.x.ai/grok/faq.
Sign in the way you bought
- On grok.com or the Grok iOS app, choose Continue with Apple (not email/password and not Google) using the same Apple ID that created the subscription.
- Open Settings and confirm the plan shows active.
- If the app still prompts to activate, force-quit, update the app, sign out, clear cache if the OS offers it, then Sign in with Apple again.
If you lost the Apple ID path
- Recover the Apple ID that owns the Hide My Email relay for that purchase.
- Add or link a durable personal email at accounts.x.ai after you are signed in with Apple, so you have a backup sign-in.
- Contact support with the Apple receipt / order ID if Apple Sign-In still will not surface the plan.

Pitfalls
- Pasting the
privaterelay.appleid.comaddress into Google or email login and treating a failed lookup as a missing charge. - Creating a second SuperGrok on another identity before checking Apple Sign-In on the original.
