Fix weekly Grok usage that looks stuck after cancel, resubscribe, or reset

Paid SuperGrok plans share one weekly usage pool. Settings → Usage shows the percentage, product breakdown, weekly reset date and time, and Extra Usage Credits. There is no documented user control that fires that reset early.

Confirm you are on the account that pays

  1. Sign in on grok.com with the same login you used to buy or renew (Apple, Google, X, or email).
  2. Open Settings → Billing / grok.com/?_s=billing and confirm the subscription shows active.
  3. On the phone, use that same login. The FAQ’s common mix-up: a web purchase “missing” on iOS/Android is often a different sign-in. Confirm before you treat it as a double charge.

If Manage Subscription will not open on the web, try an incognito window or another browser — ad-blockers often block the billing portal.

Read the meter before assuming it is broken

  1. Open Settings → Usage on web or mobile.
  2. Read the progress bar, Imagine/Chat/Build/Voice breakdown, Extra Usage Credits, and the printed reset timestamp.
  3. If you cancelled and resubscribed and the bar still shows 100%, wait until billing shows active, then re-check Usage. A brand-new week does not start until that printed reset (or support confirms a billing edge case).
  4. If the bar shows 0% used but paid features still act as if you are out, check Extra Usage Credits and whether you are looking at the free-tier Chat/Voice limits vs the paid weekly pool. The FAQ: when the weekly pool is met, paid features pause; free-tier Chat and Voice keep their own limits on a separate schedule.

Paths when the timestamp has already passed

The FAQ path when something does not look right is contact support through the app or grok.com. Include account email, platform (Web / iOS / Android), a Usage screenshot with the reset time, and whether you cancelled/resubscribed. The FAQ does not list a force-reset, timezone trick, or cache clear that restarts the week.

While you wait you can still:

  • Buy Extra Usage Credits on the web Usage tab (from $5).
  • Turn on Auto Top Up with an amount and monthly cap.
  • Upgrade the plan for a larger weekly allowance.

Pitfalls

  • Grok Bot weekly usage lives under Bot Usage & Billing, not this SuperGrok Usage tab.
  • Extra Usage Credits are web-only today and cost more per action than included plan usage.
  • Apple App Store refunds and Google Play cancels are platform-specific; a refunded App Store charge can leave access looking wrong until Apple and the app agree — contact the store path named in the FAQ for that purchase.
