Use Grok Bot on iOS

Install Grok Bot on an iPhone so you can message the same Bots, watch the cloud computer, approve actions, and pause or resume routines while you are away from the desktop. Official guide: Get started with Grok Bot → Use Grok Bot on iOS.

What you need

  • An iPhone running iOS 18 or later
  • The same Cursor account (or linked SuperGrok access) you already use on desktop
  • The Grok Bot app from the App Store

Access from your Cursor plan or SuperGrok link carries over. You do not buy Grok Bot a second time for the phone. The computers Bots work on still run in Cursor's cloud; the phone is another client on the same roster and shared computer.

Install and sign in

  1. Open the App Store on the iPhone and install Grok Bot.
  2. Launch the app and sign in with the same Cursor account you use on the desktop app. Finish any browser authentication the app opens.
  3. Confirm your existing Bots appear in the sidebar. Sidebar Sections sync between desktop and iOS, so groups you already made on desktop show up here too — Organize Grok Bots with Sidebar Sections.
  4. Open one Bot and send a short message so you know chat and the cloud computer path are healthy before you rely on the phone for approvals.

What works on the phone

From iOS you can:

  • Message Bots and read their replies, tool activity, and approval requests
  • Watch the Agent Computer and take over for passwords, passkeys, two-factor codes, and CAPTCHAs
  • Approve or deny actions (on iPhone the controls are Approve once and Deny)
  • Pause or resume routines you already created

Turn on Notifications in that Bot's settings if you want a push when the Bot finishes or needs input. On iPhone both the device permission and the Bot's notification preference must allow it, and push delivery is rolling out gradually — Turn on notifications for a Grok Bot.

What stays on desktop

Some flows are desktop-only today:

  • Teaching a workflow by demonstration (Teach a task)
  • Editing a routine's schedule or instructions
  • Viewing routine run history, testing a routine, or deleting a routine
  • Updating or resetting the Agent Computer

Create or reshape routines on desktop, then use the phone to watch runs, pause or resume them, and clear approvals. For the least-destructive computer recovery order on desktop, see Update or recover the Grok Bot computer.

Pitfalls

  • Expecting Teach a task, routine Test run, or Update Agent Computer on iOS — finish those on desktop, then return to the phone for messaging and approvals.
  • Signing into a different Cursor account on the phone — the roster and computer follow the account, not the device name.
  • Leaving Notifications off at the Bot or the iOS permission level — you will miss finish and input alerts even when the sidebar shows unread activity.
  • Treating iOS as a separate Bot world — files, browser sessions, and plugins stay on the shared cloud computer you already use on desktop.
