GROK BOT / is-grok-bot-included-in-x-subscription

Is Grok Bot included in each X Subscription tier?

Use this when you need to know whether Grok Bot is on your X Subscription tier and how Bot turns spend the shared weekly pool. On The X Subscription, Grok Bot is included on Premium, Super, and Ultra. The Plus plan does not include Grok Bot (docs.x.ai/x-subscription/grok-bot, checked 2026-10-13). Bot usage draws from that seat's shared weekly usage pool, not a separate additive pool (docs.x.ai/x-subscription/pricing, checked 2026-10-13). Browse Usage, plans and billing. New plans vs leftover linking docs

Official X Subscription pages and leftover Bot FAQ pages currently disagree. Treat them as new vs legacy, not as one page being wrong.

The X Subscription (new cards on x.ai/pricing, checked 2026-10-14)

Plan Grok Bot
Free No
Plus ($8/mo or $80/yr) No
Premium ($30/mo or $300/yr) Yes
Super ($100/mo or $1000/yr) Yes
Ultra ($200/mo or $2000/yr) Yes

Included first-party usage on those paid seats is Base / 4x / 15x / 50x. Teams seats exist for Premium, Super, and Ultra at $30 / $100 / $200 per seat. Plus is not available for teams.

Legacy plans still live for existing subscribers. docs.x.ai/grok-bot/faq still says Grok Bot is included with every paid individual Cursor plan and with Cursor Teams, and that you can link an individual SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, or SuperGrok Heavy subscription. cursor.com/help/grok-bot/plans still lists linking SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, or X Premium+. Those sentences still describe existing plans that are closed to new sign-ups. They are not the new Plus / Premium / Super / Ultra rule.

How the shared weekly pool works

Each paid seat receives a weekly pool for eligible first-party usage only, across supported Grok and Cursor surfaces. The pool is shared rather than split into separate product quotas. Usage rates vary by product (docs.x.ai/x-subscription/usage-limits, checked 2026-10-13). The pool covers Chat, Imagine, Voice, and Bot. The allowance refreshes weekly. Grok API is not in that pool (x.ai/pricing, checked 2026-10-14).

  1. Confirm the seat is a paid X Subscription tier, not leftover SuperGrok-only wording.
  2. After you switch, read Bot usage at grok.com/dashboard → Usage.
  3. Before you switch, read Bot usage at cursor.com/dashboard.
  4. Treat Chat, Imagine, Voice, Grok Bot, and supported Cursor first-party work as draws on the same weekly bar.

On Teams, each paid seat has its own weekly pool. Seats do not share weekly pools. The team shares a prepaid balance for Additional Usage.

Third-party models in Cursor are not part of the included pool. They are available on Premium and above, billed separately at API list prices through top-ups, from the first use. Plus is Grok models only. Official pages do not name individual third-party vendors. Spending caps are available. Paid plans include Grok API access, billed separately at standard model rates. Grok API does not draw from the weekly seat pool and is not included in the weekly price (x.ai/pricing, checked 2026-10-14).

Check it

  1. Premium, Super, or Ultra shows Grok Bot access. Plus does not.
  2. After a switch, grok.com/dashboard → Usage moves when you use Bot, Chat, Imagine, or Voice.
  3. A Teams admin sees per-seat weekly bars, not one pooled week for the whole team.

Pitfalls

  • Buying Plus for Grok Bot. Plus does not include it.
  • Treating leftover SuperGrok / Cursor Pro linking pages as the new-tier rule. Frame those as legacy.
  • Expecting a separate Bot pool on The X Subscription. That separate-meter sentence is for leftover SuperGrok-family plans.
  • Assuming team seats dump into one weekly bar. They do not.
  • Assuming third-party Cursor models spend the included week. They bill from credits on Premium and above.
  • Treating Grok API calls as weekly-pool spend. Paid plans include API access, billed separately at standard model rates.
