Make a professional headshot in Grok Imagine

Turn a source photo into a clean professional headshot with Imagine’s packaged Professional Headshot template so you supply the inputs and get a finished still without building the workflow from scratch. Official Imagine Image 2.0 lists Professional Headshot under Photo Tools templates on Quality Mode. Quality Mode on grok.com/imagine, iOS, and Android is Image 2.0 — open that mode before you start if you have not already — Open Imagine Quality Mode and iterate a still.

What you need

Run the headshot template

1. Open grok.com/imagine or Imagine in the Grok app, sign in if needed, and select Quality (v2.0) / Quality Mode.
2. Open Templates and pick Professional Headshot from the Photo Tools set Image 2.0 ships at launch.
3. Add the required inputs the template asks for (your source photo and any fields it shows for look or framing).
4. Generate once, then keep those inputs and change only one instruction if you want a second take you can compare side by side.
5. Review face identity, background, and crop before you export — if one region is still wrong, point the magic wand at that region only — Edit one region in Imagine and leave the rest.

After the headshot

Export the approved still and keep the source photo so you can re-run the template without hunting the original. Pitfalls

Running the template on a blurry group shot or a heavily filtered selfie forces the model to invent identity details you will not want on a profile. Treating the first generate as final without a likeness check ships a face that drifts from the source. Templates still spend Imagine usage from the weekly pool — a retry is another generation. Expecting the headshot template to also produce a 16:9 banner or a mascot is outside this packaged job; pick the matching template or resize after.
